CF Care Charity Director, Patricia Kilpatrick was in Newcastle upon Tyne this week to present equipment to benefit the adult patients of the CF unit at the RVI in Newcastle. The Rotary club from Chester-le-Street had raised £3150 in 2023 with another event to come this autumn. The cheque was presented by the president of the Rotary Club, John Stewart accompanied by Jim Lawrence who organised the fund raising events. Jim had also brought along his grandson who has CF and receives care from the CF unit at Newcastle along with around 400 other adult patients. The money raised went towards the purchase of remote monitoring equipment to support patients in their own homes. This included a new computer tablet and spirometers. CF Care also provided eFlow rapid nebulisers and a wheelchair for in patient use.
