Increases to CF Care Grants
Due to the cost of living crisis, CF Care have had increased requests for CF patient grants for food grants, energy support, and hospital travel costs for those in difficulty.
To recognise the rise in costs and increased pressures on families with CF, the trustees agreed at the last trustee meeting to increase the welfare grant from £250 to £300, increase the energy grant from £250 to £300 and increase the family food voucher from £150 to £200.
CF Care also funded James Cook Hospital CF Unit two Pari nebulisers for their young patients.

Prescription Petition Exceeds 12000 Signatures
The prescription petition started by Nicholas Smith has exceeded 12000 signatures. The government have written a response but it is very disappointing. The petition is active until the end of August and we would ask everyone to sign it and share it with their friends and encourage them to sign.
York Races Charity Lunch Raises Almost £60,000
We had another very successful day at York races and are thrilled with the amount raised. The figures have just been completed and we managed to raise just under £60,000 which is amazing.
CF Care would like to thank all the attendees who supported us by buying tables at the lunch and for being so very generous bidding in the charity auctions and silent auctions. We would also like to thank all the donors of the amazing prizes, so generously gifted to raise funds. It is such a vital event in the CF Care calendar and the funds do go straight to people with CF who are in need.
There are many more people who gave us help and assistance on the day, it was really appreciated, and so vital for these kind of events. The day ran very smoothly and everyone said they had a fantastic time.
Fingers crossed for another great day next year on 17th May 2024. Save the Date!

Pop-up Fair Raises £2779 for CF Care
The spring pop-up fair at Hutton Wandesley raised a wonderful £2779 for CF Care. We would like to thank our hosts, Christy and Sasha York, The sponsors, McInroy & Wood, all the stallholders for contributing items for the raffle and everyone who participated and supported CF Care.

CF Care Receive Grants and Donations
The William Leech charity has awarded CF Care a grant to support those with CF in the North East. In addition CF Care received Income from other Trusts and Foundations and we would like to thank Gavin Smith Donation, Hospital Saturday Fund, Rothley Trust, Local Giving, McInroy & Wood, Car Ellis Trust, Croysdale Trust, Rainford Trust and Pierport Trust for their generous donations, we are extremely grateful.
